Three teens currently wait in a Chicago homeless shelter and Chicago caseworkers have asked Let It Be Us to reach out in hopes of finding foster/adoptive families for them. If you have an Illinois foster care license, or know of someone who does, please email the caseworkers listed below. Thank you, as always, for your help in this urgent situation.
Bobby is 15 and is on the autistic spectrum. He’s quiet, very kind, loves music, and is artistic. He’s been waiting in the shelter since April. Bobby’s caseworker may be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Ashley is 16 and loves to dance, draw and is quite helpful. She has also been waiting in the shelter for a long time. Her birthday is coming up in a few days. Ashley’s caseworker may be reached at email@example.com.
Lituania is 16 years old and has a little baby. She needs a family that can care for her as well as her baby. Lituania’s caseworker may be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you do not have an Illinois foster care license but would like to obtain one please consider attending our next foster and adoptive parent recruitment event in Joliet on November 11. At this event you will hear from a panel of 4 different agencies as they present their programs and discuss the children in need of foster and adoptive parents. Learn more here.
Let It Be Us is an Illinois registered 501(c)(3) with the mission of adoption and education of children in Illinois foster care. Learn more at www.LetItBeUs.org.
