Adoption Attorney Ellyn Bullock Addresses “The Legalities of Love” at Foster and Adoptive Parent Recruitment Event in Champaign, Illinois on December 9

Ellyn Bullock, an adoption attorney who has handled over a thousand adoptions by foster care, is set to deliver her speech entitled “The Legalities of Love: a Lawyer’s Look at the Foster to Adoption Path” at the Let It Be Us foster and adoptive parent recruitment event “Finding Forever Families” on Saturday, December 9th, 9:00am – 12:00pm at CU Church in Champaign, Illinois. Bullock is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Adoption Attorneys.
Licensing Representatives from Lutheran Social Services, The Center for Youth and Family Solutions, and The Center for Law and Social Work will be on a panel to discuss foster care and adoption opportunities available in and aroundChampaign and Urbana, Illinois. A representative from the Heart Gallery of Illinois will present some of the children awaiting adoption that are currently listed in the Heart Gallery of Illinois – a photography and story exhibit of Illinois children awaiting adoption. Additionally, a representative from The Baby Fold will present post adoption services.
Let It Be Us hosts foster and adoptive parent recruitment events throughout Illinois. “We’ve developed these unique and highly effective recruitment events and we bring them to the areas in Illinois that need them the most,” said Susan McConnell, Founder and Executive Director of Let It Be Us. “A foster parent from Champaign, Nicki Webber, contacted us with the urgent need in her area and we’re here to answer the call for help.” There is no cost to attend these events.
This event is open to all who are interested in becoming a foster parent and/or adopting from foster care, or interested in the topic in general. All licensed and unlicensed parents/families are welcome. Registrants are welcome to arrive as early as 8:30 to visit marketing tables from each agency.
A light breakfast will be served. Children and families are welcome.
