2017 rang in over 2,000 adoptions from foster care in Illinois. Let It Be Us had a front row seat to this adoption of two little boys who waited in foster care for over 2,000 days. Bob and Wendy Noonan, the self deputized biological empty nesters of three free range young adults, took these little boys into their care in the early days of their lives and finally were able to sign the papers and officially welcome them into the Noonan family. Bob Noonan is a Founding Board Member of Let It Be Us and Wendy Noonan is a tireless supporter of our work supporting children in Illinois foster care and advocating for the adoption and education of children in Illinois foster care. The following is a photo essay of this most important day, their adoption day.
Thank you to the Noonan family for allowing us to document their adoption day in Chicago. Let It Be Us is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit with the mission of adoption and education of Children in Illinois foster care. Learn about our work at www.LetItBeUs.org.
