Happy Father’s Day from all of us at Let It Be Us! Thousands of children awaiting foster care and adoption are in need of loving fathers, and you could be just the dad a child has been waiting for. At Let It Be Us, we work with the Illinois Department of Child and Family Services and all Illinois Child Welfare agencies to find loving parents, regardless of sexual orientation, familial status, race, gender, or religion.
Our priority is placing children who need families into loving homes. To do this, we use our Targeted Recruitment Program to find families and single parents in our registry for children in need of placements. (Join the Let It Be Us Registry here.) We also use the Heart Gallery of Illinois to recruit parents who are hoping to adopt through the Illinois foster care system. And, we recruit parents through the Let It Be Us Wednesday’s Children of Illinois Publication featuring children who in emergent need or who are challenging to place. Attend one of our three series of events: our Adoption and Foster Care Information Fairs, our Fireside Chats on Foster Care and Adoption, or our Chicago Series on Foster Care and Adoption where you can meet our staff of Foster and Adoptive Parent Recruiters and Staff who work hard every day to find just the right parent(s) for each child. You can learn more and register here: www.letitbeus.org/events.
Being a dad is one of the greatest blessings a person can achieve in a lifetime. Unfortunately, thousands of children in the State of Illinois do not have the support and love of a father. You can be the answer for these children in need.
(Our Fireside Chats on Foster Care and Adoption are brought to you through a grant from the Barrington Area Community Foundation. Our Chicago Series on Foster Care and Adoption comes to you through a private grantor. Our Adoption and Foster Care Information Fairs are brought to you through a grant from the law firm of Howard & Howard.
