Foster Care & Adoption Forum with State Representative Allen Skillicorn
November 16 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
Join us for an informative round table discussion regarding foster care and adoption in Illinois. All are welcome to hear our panel of experts. Space is limited so please register early. In McHenry County alone 40% of children in foster care are placed in safe and loving homes outside of McHenry County. McHenry County simply does not have enough licensed homes. The statistics are similar for Cook County, Lake County, Kane County, and DuPage County. Thank you to State Representative Allen Skillicorn of Crystal Lake, Illinois and McHenry County, Illinois for bringing attention to this issue.
“It is a privilege to host such an important forum for inspiring foster care and adoption in Illinois. Unfortunately, our state ranks at the bottom in finding permanent homes for waiting children. It is especially critical to avert the terrible tragedies we have seen in our area.” State Representative Allen Skillicorn
