The Let It Be Us Mentorship Program and Educational Mentorship Program serves older children within the foster care system who live in group homes. Our goals are to ensure these children meet high school graduation requirements, enter college or vocational school, gain employment, and learn life skills. Our program offers 4 training sessions, certification and follow-on workshops for additional training. This is an opportunity to make a significant difference in the life of a child. (application below)
Our Mentors work in all areas with their Mentees, and our Educational Mentors work only with educational goals.
Mentors need to commit to at least 2 hours per week with their Mentee. While we hope our Mentors establish a relationship that lasts at least one year, many of our Mentors work with their Mentees long term, providing a type of permanency and normalcy.
Our next training takes place on April 17, 19, 24 and 26 from 7:00-9:00pm.
