This session will provide an overview of YouthCare HealthChoice Illinois and how managed care supports the medical\, behavioral health\, and overall wellbeing of youth in care and former youth in care. Participants will also learn about care coordination\, key resources\, and how to navigate services to ensure timely access to care. He holds a Master’s Degree in Human Development Counseling and served as a Child Protection Investigator with DCFS for five years. He brings experience across child welfare\, managed care operations\, and behavioral health and crisis intervention in community and hospital settings. At YouthCare\, he leads the Foster Care Liaison Team\, providing strategic oversight\, training\, and coordination to support compliance and improved outcomes for youth in care.

Shelter Youth & Family Services provides extensive wraparound support to foster parents\, ensuring both families and children receive the resources they need.
