Meet Sam!

Say hello to our superstar, Sam! Even though it’s the middle of winter, Sam is dreaming of warmer days filled with palm trees, swimming pools, and fresh seafood. Until then, this motivated 7th grader will be hard at work. School comes easily to Sam; he excels in STEM, loves science, and eagerly seeks out hands-on learning opportunities. He has explored woodshop, a greenhouse class, and an auto class (his favorite). Sam takes immense pride in his accomplishments and his work, including the desk he made by hand! He has also participated in a Youth Advisory Council as an advocate for himself and his peers in foster care.

In his free time, Sam enjoys listening to music, watching Anime, and playing video games. He’s financially responsible and has been saving up to purchase his own computer. Sam has participated in track, baseball, and flag football, but basketball is his favorite sport. He’s also a huge fan of the Golden State Warriors and the Kansas City Chiefs. Sam mirrors the dedication he sees in professional athletes, maintaining a healthy diet and working out regularly. He avoids junk food but would never back down from an all-you-can-eat shrimp challenge—it’s a great way to get his protein!
Sam describes himself as “nice, respectful, and good at making people laugh.” He hopes to find a family who appreciates his sense of humor and understands teens. He would be happy to have siblings and would love to have a dog! While he’s always up for an adventure, Sam is most excited about the idea of settling down and enjoying downtime at home with his forever family.
