Let It Be Us has been asked to help recruit the right person for the position of Wendy’s Wonderful Kids Adoption Recruiter in Illinois. Those of us at Let It Be Us work as partners with Wendy’s Wonderful Kids Adoption Recruiters in building the bridge between waiting children and potential foster and adoptive families. At any given time in Illinois there are approximately 1,000 children legally available for adoption and in search of parents. Wendy’s Wonderful Kids Adoption Recruiters are on the front line of this important work. More information follows:
A Bi-Lingual and Full-Time Adoption Recruiter is needed to provide intensive, child-specific recruitment of adoptive families for children in the Cook and Will County child welfare system. This is a full time position in the Cook and Will County areas. The ideal candidate will:
** Have a four year degree in social work, psychology or related field, hold a current child welfare employee license (CEL).
** Have 3 years of foster care experience in a child welfare setting, including adoption and guardianship services and protocols, service planning and case documentation.
** Demonstrate the ability to work closely with the assigned Child Welfare Specialist, the child, and the caregiver in the recruitment process.
** Have three years of foster care experience in a child welfare setting including adoption and guardianship services and protocols, service planning and case documentation.
** Be willing to travel, possess reliable transportation and insurance, produce a clean driving record, participate in and pass a complete background check, and work flexible hours.
