Wednesday’s Children – Awaiting Foster Care and Adoption in Illinois

Let It Be Us is a nonprofit child welfare agency that recruits foster and adoptive parents for waiting children in Illinois. Wednesday’s Children of Illinois is a Let It Be Us publication that comes out once a week and features Illinois waiting children. Parents who are interested in learning more are welcome to complete our Let It Be Us Form for each child. Thank you!   

SIBLINGS NEEDING YOU – 

Two sisters ages 6 and 7

They love to help caregivers prepare meals, are curious and want to be a part of a family. Parents in and around the Chicago land area please complete our Let It Be Us Form. 

Two sisters ages 6 and 7 

They are waiting to be part of your family! Parents in and around the Chicago land area please complete our Let It Be Us Form. 

Two sisters ages 13 and 15  

They love each other and really want to stay together. They love to shop, talk on the phone, and hang out with friends. Parents in and around the Chicago land area please complete our Let It Be Us Form.

INDIVIDUAL CHILDREN WAITING FOR YOU – 

A 15 year old boy 

He is a strong student and will thrive in any size family. He is really ready to be part of a family and experience life. Families in the Northern Region of Illinois or around Waukegan, Illinois are welcome to complete our Let It Be Us Form.  

A 16 year old boy 

He is very articulate, likes theater and plays football and basketball. He really wants a mom and a he especially wants a dad. Parents in and around the Joliet or Chicago area or Aurora, Batavia, and Joliet are welcome to complete our Let It Be Us Form. 

An 8 year old boy 

All he needs is structure, routine, and parents to help him with his homework every day after school. He loves all things that little 8 year old boys do.  All parents around the Chicago area or suburbs are welcome to complete our Let It Be Us Form. 

An 11 year old boy 

He does well in school and is an all around good kid. All families in the Chicago, the South Suburbs, or Joliet are welcome to complete our Let It Be Us Form. 

A 13 year old boy

He loves to read, loves the Star Wars Trilogy, and marine biology. Families in the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago are  welcome to complete our Let It Be Us Form. 

A 17 year old boy

He is an excellent high school student and is profoundly deaf.  All parents who know American Sign Language or those who are interested in learning in the hopes of being a family for this child in Chicago are welcome to complete our Let It Be Us Form. 

A 15 year old boy

He loves football and young marine activities. All parents with a foster care license who are in the Northwest Suburbs are encouraged to complete our Let It Be Us Form. 

A 12 year old boy

He loves to play with action figures, Legos, video games, and board games, and watch movies. All licensed parents in Illinois are encouraged to complete our Let It Be Us Form. 

A 15 year old girl

She is looking for a home and is a straight A student. All parents with a foster care license who are in Chicago or the South, North or Northwest Suburbs are encouraged to complete our  Let It Be Us Form.
