Meet Jonas! 

Jonas is a curious, resilient and energetic child who brings joy to those around him. He is a big fan of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and his face lights up when he watches Goofy play the kazoo and dance. Jonas enjoys simple pleasures, including Cinnamon Toast Crunch, sweet treats like donuts and a variety of foods, especially noodle soup and ramen. He also loves engaging in sensory and active play, such as bouncing balls, tossing discs, playing in water and joining for walks.

Jonas is eager to connect with the people around him, and his communication skills are improving every day. His vocabulary is expanding, and he is learning to use verbal language to express his needs and advocate for himself. He also uses simple sign language, gestures, visual supports, and a communication device to share his thoughts and needs. He has also been practicing his independence skills and is making great progress with daily routines, including brushing his teeth.

Jonas thrives in an environment that offers consistency, structure and attentive care. He benefits from clear routines and enjoys when interactions are modeled to him. The adults around him say that he picks up new routines quickly and is a fast learner! Jonas would do best in a patient, understanding family that can provide a nurturing and predictable environment that is open to supporting his needs. With time, trust and the right support put in place, Jonas will continue to grow, thrive and shine everyday!
