Meet Sylvie! 

Sylvie knows the best of her story is still unwritten; this sweet girl is wise beyond her years and understands her past isn’t what defines her. She leads with her quick wit, sense of humor and intelligence but her compassion for others lies very near the surface; she’s caring and acts as a “big sister” to many of her younger peers.

Sylvie is very organized, creative and helpful. She likes to spend her free time playing volleyball and softball, hanging out with her friends and shopping. She’s an avid shopper who loves searching for the latest techie devices, beauty supplies and video games. Sylvie also LOVES books – both reading AND writing them! In fact, she’s currently working on a novel and has pulled inspiration from her favorite literary protagonists to create her story. Sylvie isn’t sure if she’ll make a career out of writing; she’s also considered becoming a psychologist or maybe even an auto mechanic. She currently works in an auto shop – and has gotten all A’s in her shop classes! She’s a wiz at repairs and oil changes. She also loves playing the clarinet and hopes to be in the high school band. Sylvie does it all, and she does it well!

While she’s accomplished a lot, if you ask Sylvie what she’s most proud of she’ll tell you her increased feelings of self-worth. She has worked very hard to build her self esteem and takes pride in her success doing so. She’s focused on improving certain areas of herself and is actively engaged in the process of doing that. And her growth is almost guaranteed – when Sylvie sets her mind to something, she gives it 110%. She isn’t afraid to speak up: she advocates for herself and what she needs.

Sylvie knows the best is yet to come and she is ready for her forever home. She longs to live the life of a typical teenager, with a loving family who supports and believes in her. Will your family help her write her greatest chapters?
