Meet Lionel! 

Lionel is a vibrant, sweet, and playful boy. Lionel takes pride in being someone people count on. In his own words, he is “really good at being kind and helping people,” and everyone he meets agrees. At school, he is considered a class leader, and at home he loves to ensure everyone is invited to join in the fun. Lionel is an active kid who likes to stay busy with all kinds of activities including roller skating, soccer, basketball, arcades, zoos, carnivals, video games… Lionel doesn’t do “bored.” But when it’s time to relax, he finds a lot of peace in drawing or being read to (especially if the book is just the right amount of spooky.) With a big heart for all animals big and small, Lionel hopes to have a dog, cat, or bunny….or a gator, snake, or shark. What can we say, he’s an adventurous kiddo. And a voracious eater! He loves all food but currently topping his list is mac and cheese, dessert, pizza, and gingerbread cookies to remind him of his favorite time of year, Christmas. One of Lionel’s biggest dreams is to travel the world to places like China, Disney World, and Disneyland. But that’s in the future. In the present, he is looking forward to a family who will provide him the time, care, and love he has been waiting for.

Lionel would thrive in an active home that understands the importance of one-on-one connection and consistency. A patient, nurturing, and supportive family will help Lionel build confidence in his new home. Maintaining a strong bond with his two siblings is incredibly important to him, so any family considering this child should be prepared to help him maintain these relationships going forward.
