Let It Be Us manages the Adoption Listing Service of Illinois. Our staff is experienced in adoption recruitment, matching and placement and we work to enhance the number of waiting children adopted from the Illinois foster care system. 

The Adoption Listing Service of Illinois works to identify and register all Illinois waiting children, youth with the court-ordered permanency goal of Substitute Care Pending Termination of Parental Rights or Adoption who do not have an identified prospective adoptive home. Our trained team of child-centered Adoption Recruiters then work to match these children with an adoptive family that meets their identified needs. We also recruit and register licensed prospective adoptive parents and, based on their qualifications and preferences, monitor whether any of them may be a good match for any of our waiting children.

Registering youth with the Adoption Listing Service of Illinois expands their chances of finding a loving, forever family. The Adoption Listing Service maintains and manages the Heart Gallery of Illinois, a website where families can view profiles of all of these children. 

The Heart Gallery of Illinois has been instrumental in connecting waiting children in Illinois with prospective adoptive families. Let It Be Us is committed to enhancing the impact and outreach of the Heart Gallery of Illinois. To view the Heart Gallery of Illinois, please click here. 

Additionally, the Adoption Listing Service of Illinois posts profiles for these waiting children on the national website AdoptUSKids, the only federally funded photo listing service that connects waiting children with families around the United States.

The Statewide Toll-Free 800 Number is also managed by the Adoption Listing Service team, with the goal of assisting prospective adoptive parents with the licensing process and inquiries about youth on the Heart Gallery of Illinois. The Statewide Toll-Free 800 Number is 800-572-2390.
