Together with One Hope United, Let It Be Us recruits already licensed foster homes and those homes wanting to become licensed for Therapeutic Foster Care. One Hope United works with Let It Be Us to recruit families open to parenting children in need of therapeutic homes after receiving therapeutic services in the group home setting. 

Therapeutic Foster Care in Illinois is a specialized level of care designed for children and youth who have experienced significant trauma, behavioral challenges, or mental health needs. Licensed through child welfare agencies, therapeutic foster homes provide structured, trauma-informed environments where trained foster parents work closely with a professional treatment team. These families receive additional support, ongoing clinical training, and access to wraparound services to help stabilize and support the youth’s emotional and behavioral development. Therapeutic foster care is often a crucial step in helping children heal and move toward long-term permanency.
