Join our Intro to Foster Care Series! In this three part series, Let It Be Us child welfare experts and seasoned foster parents will walk you through the foster care system in Illinois, with information and guidance on what it means – and what it takes – to become a foster parent.
How do families end up involved in the foster care system? Why are children placed into foster care? What roles do DCFS and the court system play in determining what happens to children in foster care? Why do we have foster care? All of these questions and more will be answered in this session.
