Learn About Specialized Foster Care with Youth Services Bureau of Illinois Valley
October 6 @ 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm

Have you ever thought about becoming a foster parent but weren’t sure where to begin? Or wondered if your experience, career, or life skills could make a difference for a child?
Youth Service Bureau (YSB) is looking for compassionate individuals and families who are ready to provide safety, stability, and support to children when they need it most. Join us for an informative and inspiring in-person or online event to learn more about becoming a Specialized Foster Home with Youth Service Bureau.
Specialized foster parents provide care for children who may need additional support and understanding. Youth Services Bureau provides extensive wraparound support, resources, and guidance to help foster parents feel confident and supported throughout their fostering journey. Specialized Foster Parents also receive additional financial support.
We are interested in connecting with individuals who have experience in:
-Education and teaching
-Educational support services
-Medical and healthcare
-Mental health
-Emergency response
-Parenting and caregiving
-Working with children or individuals with special needs
Already licensed? Thinking about becoming licensed? Or simply curious about what foster care looks like? You are welcome! Come learn, ask questions, and discover whether specialized foster care could be the right fit for you.
Join us in-person or online! The in-person location is at the Youth Services Bureau of Illinois Valley Offices: 308 W. State St., Suite 475, Rockford, IL
If you live in Rockford, Loves Park, Machesney Park, or the surrounding communities, we especially encourage you to join us.
You Don’t Have to Have All the Answers. You Just Have to Be Willing to Help. Every child deserves a safe place to call home and an adult who is willing to show up for them.
Join us to learn more about how you can open your home, use your life experience, and help provide safety, stability, and hope to a child when they need it most.
