Navigating YouthCare: What Every Foster Parent Should Know

Let It Be Us offers a series of virtual and in-person educational events on topics surrounding Foster Care and Adoption in the State of Illinois.

Join Let It Be Us and YouthCare for an informational webinar designed for current and prospective foster parents. This session will provide an overview of YouthCare HealthChoice Illinois and how managed care supports the medical, behavioral health, and overall wellbeing of youth in care and former youth in care. Participants will also learn about care coordination, key resources, and how to navigate services to ensure timely access to care. Foster parents can receive 1 hour of credit toward their license for attending.

Featured Speaker: John Hall, M.A.

John Hall, M.A., is a Supervisor, Operations with YouthCare HealthChoice Illinois. He holds a Master’s Degree in Human Development Counseling and served as a Child Protection Investigator with DCFS for five years. He brings experience across child welfare, managed care operations, and behavioral health and crisis intervention in community and hospital settings. At YouthCare, he leads the Foster Care Liaison Team, providing strategic oversight, training, and coordination to support compliance and improved outcomes for youth in care.
