We are thrilled to invite you to the upcoming Adoption Summit hosted by Let It Be Us on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. This virtual event is designed for families exploring foster-care adoption as well as child-welfare professionals seeking to expand their knowledge. With two tailored sessions and a wealth of support, attendees will gain valuable insights into the adoption process and the resources available to help children and families thrive.

The morning session for families, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., is geared toward families. Participants will hear from experts including Susan McConnell, DSW, MBA, on the history and mission of Let It Be Us; Lindsay Weinberg Perlmutter, MSW, LCSW, on the adoption process; Genie Gillespie, JD, on the legal aspects of foster care adoptions; and Laura Adams on the iCARE 4 program, which supports families and children to ensure successful, permanent placements. The session also includes an interactive Q&A, allowing families to ask questions and learn directly from the experts.

The afternoon session for child welfare professionals, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., is designed for child-welfare professionals. Featuring the same lineup of speakers, the content is tailored to professionals working in foster care licensing, adoption placement, referrals, and support services. This session provides an opportunity to deepen understanding of best practices, enhance collaboration, and access resources that strengthen outcomes for children and families.

This summit is completely free and fully virtual, making it easy to participate from anywhere. By attending, families and professionals can gain knowledge about foster care adoption, legal processes, and support services, while connecting with a community committed to helping children find permanent, loving homes. Whether you are considering adoption, are a licensed foster parent, or work in child welfare, the summit offers relevant insights, practical guidance, and opportunities to network with others who share the same mission.
