Needing Families Licensed & Seeking a License – Kids Graduating From Group Homes
Let It Be Us is in need of licensed foster homes and those seeking a license for kids graduating from group homes. Fostering children and teens who are “graduating” from group homes transform a transition into a launch. In a family setting, teens get what congregate care can’t consistently offer: one stable adult who shows up every day, home routines that build trust, and individualized support for school, work, and life skills (banking, cooking, transportation). A foster home helps reconnect siblings and community ties, reduces isolation, and provides the kind of advocacy that opens doors to internships, health care, and college or trades. For caregivers, it’s a chance to mentor a young person at the most pivotal moment…backed by training, 24/7 support, and a monthly stipend…while strengthening your own family through service and belonging. The result is more dignity, better stability, and a real path to adulthood.
We are searching for Illinois licensed foster homes (and those wanting to be licensed) to parent children and teens (boys and girls) graduating from group homes. To learn more, please complete our form and refer to case #8989. (Here is the form: http://letitbeus.org/inquire)
Let It Be Us works with Illinois agencies, including DCFS, to locate placements for children in emergent need and those who are challenging to place both within foster care and adoption. Our Open Home Navigator Platform locates appropriate and open homes every day. For more information please contact Jessie Walker at jessiewalker@letitbeus.org.
