Want to learn about how you can support LGBTQIA+ youth in your home?
Join Let It Be Us Monday, June 2 at 12:00 PM for our webinar Strategies for Foster and Adoptive Parents to Support LGBTQIA+ Youth with Let It Be Us. This webinar will provide an overview of the LGBTQIA+ population and demographics of youth in care. Current DCFS policy and procedures (Procedure 302 Appendix K – Support and Well-Being of LGBTQIA+ youth) will be reviewed as well as practical strategies for foster/adoptive parents to support LGBTQIA+ youth in their homes. 1 credit hour will be offered to licensed foster parents who attend.
